▪ Accredited ISO 9002 certification.
▪ Begin supplying radiators to PERODUA.
▪ Expand aftersales & service operations, establish network throughout Malaysia.
▪ Become market leader for ASEAN REM market.
2000-2002
▪ Achieve Malaysia’s No. 1 exporter of REM cooling coils to more than 25 countries.
▪ Become one of Malaysia’s largest manufacturers in automotive heat exchange products.
▪ Supply HVAC system to Ministry of Defence for their Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV).
▪ Develop HVAC system for PROTON’s export markets.
2003-2004
▪ Establish UCM America for REM business.
▪ Supply HVAC parts to General Motor Thailand, MAZDA Malaysia.
▪ Establish UCM Iran for supplying HVAC to PROTON in Iran.
▪ Supply cooling modules to BMW Thailand.
2005-2007
▪ Accredited TS 16949 certification.
▪ Supply HVAC system to NAZA for their models.
▪ Establish CKD division for PROTON CKD export.
▪ Establish UCM Gurun for OEM business.
2009
▪ Establish global outsourcing partners with China, Korea, Thailand, and Taiwan for parts and materials.
2011-2012
▪ Restructure UCM Group to meet Malaysia’s NAP (i.e., localization program) and trade liberalization with ASEAN and China.
▪ Begin localization program for NAZA and CHERY cars.
▪ Design and develop HVAC system for Debech AV8 military vehicle.
2013-2014
▪ Design and develop other heat-exchange
products for PROTON (e.g.
AC compressor, CVT oil cooler &
engine oil cooler).
▪ Supply other heat-exchange parts to
PROTON for their Iriz, Saga, Preve &
Exora models.
2015-2016
▪ Accredited ISO 9002:2008 certification.
▪ Conferred Lean Production System (LPS) by Malaysian Automotive Institute (MAI).
▪ Refine and redesign heat-exchange
parts to meet PROTON GDI engine.
2018-2019
▪ Design and develop cooling module for PROTON X70.
▪ Supply cooling modules for PROTON X70.
